Printing on tissue paper

I’ve been looking at ways of scaling printing on tissue paper.

I have an HP 900 series that became fried since I brought it on a trip to New York City and it stopped working.

So I’m looking at an HP8000 Printer. I want to hack it to have a continuous ink system so I don’t have to buy cartridges, I can just buy ink and top up the tanks.

Here is a company that has parts to convert the printer to continuous ink:

Testing printing on tissue (update Dec 14)

Okay, I was in New York yesterday and now have this in hand. It runs great and prints very well on tissue. It’s also very fast. Next I need to hack it so that it has it’s own ink tanks rather than cartridges. That should take a month or so. Will report back!
