I started my Honda Shadow after winter storage. I boosted it. After running on chock at high idle for about 5 minutes (I fsorgot I left the choke on), I noticed that something was glowing in the rear exhaust manifold area.
The inner exhaust pipe was glowing as red as a stove burner on high. The lighting was poor so I was wondering if this is normal.
I suspect this is some sort of choke afterburn or there is a carb problem after storage (perhaps lean on that cylinder).
I didn’t look at the other cylinder, I just shut it off.
You can’t see the glowing in this shot. I just shut it down when I noticed it and didn’t think to shoot any film.
