Gears from cutting board!

I just wipped up some gears using the GearGenerator by Matthias Wendel.

It’s easy to use and has lots of options!

This is the first real attempt at making gears. I’m planning on making some puzzle games that involve gears for children. That should get me up to speed on gear making.

I was thinking of having a board with holes with some percussion instruments at one side and a crank at the other. You fill in the board with gears to make the instruments get struck at different intervals.

Another is a ballerina or some sort of character that is on top of a gear. The child has to figure out how to build a chain of gears to make it spin from the crank.

Well that’s what I have as ideas to start with. 🙂
